HKWALLS x Global Goals

Alongside the REDRESS x Global Goals "Under the Sea" recycled tapestry that we made in January 2024 with Sha Tin Jr. School, we also created a Global Goals logo outside on the school fence in collaboration with HKWALLS. It was a 2-week project to execute with the Year 4 students coming out in groups daily to help me.

I started by teaching all the students how to macrame rows of square knots, using rope. Each of the students helped to macrame colored strips in the 17 colors that make up the Global Goals logo.

The students took great pride in seeing their individual contributions come together to form the impactful final artwork, creating a vibrant and eye-catching display for the whole community to enjoy.

The completed Global Goals logo has become a colorful and inspiring feature of the school grounds, serving as a daily reminder of the students' efforts and the important environmental and social causes they explored. I'm thrilled to have been a part of this enriching collaborative project.
