Restaurant Artwork commision

I'm thrilled to share this exciting collaboration with Maxims Group and the talented team at Minus Workshop, an Architect company. Our paths crossed with Minus Workshop during the Affordable Art Fair in August 2022, where I had the privilege of exhibiting my artworks as part of The Hong Kong Arts Collective, while being 8.5 months pregnant.

I had the pleasure of creating four stunning artwork frames for the redesigned ChuiChow Garden Restaurant in Causeway Bay. The concept aimed to capture the essence of a water voyage, seamlessly blending the elements of a waterborne adventure with the charm of Asia. Influences from the graceful silhouette of a seashell and the intricate weaving patterns and textures found in fishing nets were incorporated, resulting in an enchanting visual experience.

I eagerly began working on the artworks in December 2022, immersing myself in the creative process. Balancing my artistic endeavors with my new responsibilities of motherhood, I dedicated myself to completing these meaningful pieces in time for the grand opening, coinciding with Christmas celebrations and the Chinese New Year.

Completing this project fills me with gratitude and satisfaction. It marks my first venture into commissioned artworks for a restaurant, and I value the opportunity it has provided. The final artworks beautifully enhance the redesigned space of ChuiChow Garden Restaurant.
