HKWALLS

Sha tin junior school

In an exciting collaboration with HKWALLS, Make & Do HK embarked on a captivating project to create a rope mural of the Shatin Junior School house logos on the fence outside the school. The project spanned over 7 weeks, allowing for meticulous attention to detail and an impressive end result.

Additionally, we conducted engaging classroom workshops with the grade 4 students, introducing them to the art of embroidery and fabric printing using found objects. These workshops provided a hands-on learning experience, nurturing their creativity and expanding their artistic skills.

During the embroidery workshops, students learned various embroidery techniques and explored different stitches to create intricate designs. They were able to bring their imagination to life by stitching beautiful patterns onto fabric, showcasing their newfound skills and artistic talent.

In the fabric printing workshops, students discovered the art of printing patterns onto fabric using unconventional materials found in their surroundings. By experimenting with textures, shapes, and objects, they learned to create unique and inspiring patterns. This process allowed them to explore their artistic instincts and understand the possibilities of transforming everyday objects into creative tools.

The collaboration between Make & Do HK and HKWALLS not only brought visually striking elements to the school's fence through the rope mural but also offered invaluable creative experiences to the grade 4 students. These workshops nurtured a sense of artistic expression, encouraged hands-on learning, and cultivated a deeper appreciation for various art forms.
